Evan had started out his romance with Mel being unused to the kind of physical contact that comes with being so close to someone day in and day out, but he has adapted and, with flying colors, grown to love it. He'd settled in front of the taller man when they'd mounted up on Laedo's shoulder, leaned back into his grip with real and evident pleasure, gasped with delight upon takeoff. Flight is another thing he's gotten well used to in that it no longer makes him so nervous, but instead leaves him suffused with a kind of giddy delight.
Of course, their plans for the evening might be helping with that giddiness. When he slides down from Laedo's back, he offers a hand to Mel -- the elf in no way needs it but Evan likes being able to make the gesture -- and shoots him a delighted grin when Laedo tries the polite thing.
"We wouldn't have offered if we didn't mean it," he tells Laedo, leaning back on his heels to look up at the great spry form the dragon carries himself in. "You're not getting out of this that easily."
