He catches the flustered, frustrated note in Laedo's voice as well and wonders if perhaps they might be pushing the asandus a little too far, though he reminds himself that the payoff will certainly make up for any frustration Laedo might feel.
"If it makes you feel better," he offers after a moment, "We can both promise not to get up to anything untoward with each other while you're around? So you don't have to worry that we're going to make you feel unwelcome or anything."
Quite the opposite really, if it all went well anyway, and it's a promise Meallan has no qualms with making. He's fairly certain his hands are going to be elsewhere entirely.
