Evan has fallen back out of the habit of touching people, especially pertinent now that he shares space with another student, so Mel's hunger for closeness goes unparsed for the time being. His question is more pertinent anyways, and Evan looks seriously at his friend. "Well, I mean, yes. Where's the good in a glamour if there isn't some control over when it's working? I can turn this off," he gestures up at his eye, and then grimaces, "although it's kind of unpleasant. I have to actually touch my eye... which," he adds, "I think is kind of a specific condition."
He humms, bobs his head. "We're going to have to come up with a cover story for you, too, but I mean... we can work on that. Do you mind if I take a minute and talk to my mom?" He's already pulling his phone out of his pocket. "She'll at least be able to let us know if they can find us something quick, or if... if we'll have to come up with some other solution." Although he doesn't really know what that other solution would be. Heading out and finding a hotel for a few days till a glamour comes in? Hiding Mel in his closet? Good lord.
